About

"Albany’s Side-B is a band steeped in various sounds – and never seeming to pigeonhole themselves – some of the better ones can be picked out from genres such as indie-rock, funk, and alternative-folk-based music. The four-piece alternative rock band formed in their early teenage years and began performing at local music venues across the Capital Region. They bonded over a shared love for classic rock acts like Led Zeppelin and The Police along with modern alternative bands like Weezer and Vampire Weekend." - Lucas Garret, Nippertown

With recent performances that range from Albany's Tulip Festival to opening slots for Lit at the Empire State Plaza and for Mihali at Alive at 5, the band has received local recognition and acclaim since their formation. The Nippertown "March Music Madness" winners have also recieved nominations for Times Union's Best Local Music Group and for the Eddies Music Award for Best Alt/Indie artist of the year.

Side-B released their debut, “The Low Budget Romance EP,” during the members’ senior year of high school. It consists of the first four songs that the band ever wrote together and it shows the progression of developing a strong, unique sound that alludes to the band's future musical direction.

Their debut was followed up by the home-recorded single, "The Mountain Song," in 2021.
